Project 2 : Data Collection Methods
The students are required to collect visual, oral, textual and tactile artefacts that would be part of their research materials for the ideation in Project 1 (proposal). All collected artefacts and materials must be recorded, kept and documented, accompanied by necessary information such as the type of artefact and material, its purpose, its symbolism, its cultural/historical background, and more, depending on the kind of artefact and material.
Some of the methods by which you can collect data:
• Observation study.
• Interview of relevant stakeholders (from the lecture series, you may approach any of the guest speakers for an interview, if you deem their presentation useful for further research).

Make lantern style from draft
Feedback
week1:The teacher showed us the tasks of this semester and gave the first lecture, which gave us a preliminary understanding of cross-culture
week2:The lantern was chosen in our proposal
week3:Make ppt and rectify ppt under the guidance of teachers
week4:Being guided by the teacher makes us pay more attention to combining with the modern is the key
week5:The teacher taught us that the spirit of lanterns and the lack of modern relations need to be improved
week6:I learned that making lanterns requires a high level of concentration and a high level of craftsmanship
week7:Our finished lantern went awry due to our different emphasis on it, so we reworked the draft and the lantern
Reflection
Experience:The division of labor is clear, and the help of the group leader, the teacher's guidance is important to me
Observations:When I looked up the information, I found that the hand-made lanterns are constantly decreasing. I think it is a good plan to combine with modern lanterns
Findings:The development of lanterns has been thousands of years, but we know very little about it now. The production of handmade lanterns is also gradually reducing its cumbersome production process, so that it gradually fades in the vision of young people. I hope that the combination of lanterns and modernity can make lanterns pass down through the ages
