Lecture Week 1:

Course outline and expectations

This module aims to teach students how to make intuitive representations using digital tools. Students will systematically learn digital imaging skills through lectures, demonstrations, and hands-on work creating digital images using Photoshop. In addition, the course will guide students to use appropriate hardware and software to solve communication problems, and develop their digital visualization and image processing skills as an important means to enhance creativity. Students will master digital image processing techniques and gain an in-depth understanding of digital imaging principles through lectures, demonstrations and practical exercises. To test learning outcomes, students are required to complete a project and submit a final portfolio. Composition is one of the key elements of design, and collage is an effective way to master composition. Students can also further study composition and design through poster design and motion graphics.
